Christmas Marketing Tips

Think October is too early to be thinking about Christmas? Think again! Now is the perfect time to be finalising your Christmas marketing action plan to ensure you have ample time to spread the holiday cheer in your clinic.

1. Gift Packs

Christmas-themed gift packs are a must for boosting revenue in the lead up to Christmas. Create 4-5 gift categories and arrange them in your shop window with clear signage so passers-by know they can pop in for last-minute gift purchases. Gift categories to consider are:

  • A basket of single stocking filler products
  • Budget gift pack
  • Mid-range gift pack
  • High-end gift pack
  • Men’s maintenance gift pack

2. Say It With A Card

Whether you choose to send an e-Card or a traditional Christmas card by mail, wishing your clients a Merry Christmas is not only a lovely way to show you care but also a prime opportunity to add in a Christmas treat, just for them! Along with the season’s greetings, be sure to include a special discount offer that they can redeem in January to give those post-Christmas sales a boost!

3. Christmas Lucky Dip

Festively decorate a glass platter, bowl or box and fill with cards (that can fit in a purse or wallet) with an array of free treatments or products (such as eyebrow shaping, lash tinting, LED upgrade or even a take-home skincare product – services that are cheap and quick to perform but still highly desirable).

When a client rebooks the same day as their appointment, they can pick a free treatment from the Christmas lucky dip! The aim is to encourage them to make a rebooking appointment on the spot, and you can also book in their additional free treatment at the same time.

4. Celebrate With Your Clients!

Boost customer loyalty and build client relationships in the best possible way – by throwing a party! Put together a list of VIP and potential clients (by offering a plus one) and send out exclusive invites for your party.

Host the party in your salon or spa and make it fun and interactive by offering drinks and canapés, free mini treatments and handing out Christmas cards with special offers for party-goers to redeem during January and February. This is also an ideal time to offer your VIP clients exclusive treatment packages available to purchase at the event, as well as take them through your treatment offerings and even show some demos on new and exciting treatments!
